I was thinking today about all of the things I loved when I was pregnant. In early pregnancy, nothing in the world made me feel healthy and nurtured, but as I got past about 12 weeks I started to enjoy, and really feel comforted by:

My fortnightly chiropractic adjustments
Caesar Salads
Banana Pancakes
Bottles of water with lemon in them.
Sleeping in (lol)
meeting with my midwife, and chatting over every pedantic detail of my birth (blush)
Foot rubs
Early morning walks
and taking photos of myself in the mirror lol

What were your nurturing comfort measures during pregnancy?

1st and 2nd baby... health farm visits, friends, active birth yoga.
3rd baby..friends, active birth yoga.
4th baby... absolutley nothing. Too poor and too exhausted to indulge anything.

Seeing my belly grow
Watching hubby feel the first movements and then the stronger movements
Third pregnancy - watching AJ delight in feeling her sibling move (too young with second pregnancy)
Taking photos and being able to see my belly develop that way
Mumma to 3 girls:

AJ (04) - public hospital
GP (07) - private hospital
SB (09) - homebirthed

Talking with my IMs and doula about both Trystan's labour/delivery and my hopes, dreams and fears for this birth. I always feel loved, nurtured and cared for after a lengthy chat with such wonderful supportive women.

- Chiro
- My preg vitamin (I now know the difference between a good quality vitamin and and a well marketed vitamin)
- Breaky smoothies BigGrin. Leave me feeling much better than anything I could eat at that time of the morning.
- My friends and family

I'd love to start going and having a massage every so often. Have a huge craving for that.

I'm so glad the sun is starting to come out a bit more. Getting out and about in the sunshine and fresh air makes me feel good.
